Teriyaki Sauce

 Yield: 1 cup

Prep Time: 5  minutes

Cook/ Assembly Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes



  • ¼ c. boiling water
  • 4 medjool dates, pitted and coarsely chopped
  • ½ c. cocount aminos
  • ¼ c. orange juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp. ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne powder, optional



Bring 1/4 cup of water to a boil.  Add the dates to the water and allow to soak for a few minutes.

While they soak add all the other ingredients to a food processor then add the dates. Puree until smooth. Put the mixture back into the pot and bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly.  Simmer for 5-10 minutes, until thickened to taste.  Strain through a mesh sieve, if desired.
